  2. Book a time that suits you to validate and complete your practical training element.
  3. Take your Statement of Competency to any Queensland Transport and Main Roads Office (pay their prescribed fee) to have it endorsed on your driving licence.

Then that’s it, you can now legally drive a recreational boat or jet ski!

In Queensland you must have a recreational marine licence to drive a any boat that has an engine power greater than 4.5kw.

To then drive a personal watercraft or jet ski, you must have a recreational marine licence and a personal watercraft licence (PWC).
