However, you will need a licence first and that’s were we come in!

Are you looking for a place to do a boat or jetski licence on the Sunshine Coast? then you have come to the right place. Licence to Boat are a specialist Boat and jetski licensing company, and we are located in Maroochydore on the Sunshine coast.
Licence to Boat is a Queensland Government approved Boatsafe, RMDL (Boat) and PWC (Jet Ski) licence training provider.
Licence to Boat courses are run on the Maroochy River, offering a safe, fun and practical training environment. The commencement point for our courses is in Driftwood Restaurant and Bar at Ingenia Rivershore Resort, its just 1 min from the Bradman Ave, Sunshine Coast Motorway turn off, making it easily accessible from many Sunshine Coast suburbs.
There is parking available at the resort and refreshments are available from the onsite cafe/restaurant.
Doing your Maritime Safety Queensland, and Boatsafe approved RMDL (Boat) or PWC (Jetski) licence course couldn’t be better than with Licence to Boat. We are located at Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast.
Steps:
- Complete our comphrehensive online theory course, this will guide you through the theory components of your boat or jetski licence. Once completed you should have the knowledge neccessary to successfully complete a multiple choice theory test which you will recieve from our instructors on the day of your practical training and assessment.
- Attend a practical training and assessment day with our instructors on our modern and comfortable Boat and Jetski.
- Successfully complete a mulitple choice test. (you may have 2 attempts on the day).
- Training from our instructor in the practical components of the course until you are confident and capable enough to attempt a practical assessment. (This is not a gaurantee of a pass on the day, your instructor my recomend further training in some cases).
- Attempt an unassisted practical assessment from our instructor.(This is not a gaurantee of a pass on the day, your instructor my recomend further training in some cases).

I have driven friends boats from tinnies to large Rivieras. But i have remained scared. Tomorrow i get to drive my own tinnie for the first time and i have been so nervous for 25 years since i wanted a boat.
